The 51-year-old actor, also known for his role in Euphoria, expressed his fondness for being part of the long-standing ABC production, where he portrayed the beloved character of Mark Sloan.
Despite his significant presence over six seasons, spanning from 2006 to 2012, he found himself being pushed out of the door.
During a recent podcast appearance, Dane candidly revealed, “I didn’t voluntarily leave; rather, I was let go from the show.”

Acknowledging his battle with alcohol dependency, Dane opened up about the challenges he faced in overcoming his addiction to drinking.
