Despite the apparent opportunities that the transatlantic move has afforded the couple, Markle acknowledges that defining her position in the business landscape has proven challenging.
“If I were to draft a résumé, I genuinely wouldn’t know what title to give myself,” she candidly revealed in a conversation with Fast Company.

In contrast, Markle is unwavering about her identity in terms of her name.
She playfully corrected actress Mindy Kaling during an episode of Netflix’s “With Love, Meghan,” stating, “It’s amusing that you keep saying ‘Meghan Markle.’ I’m actually Sussex now.” Following the episode’s release, she was referred to as “Meghan Sussex” during her guest appearance on “The Drew Barrymore Show.”
When the Sussexes separated from the royal family in 2020, they were permitted to retain their Sussex titles.
However, the late Queen Elizabeth placed restrictions on the use of “Sussex Royal” for any non-royal ventures.
Settling in Montecito, California, the Sussexes have launched a variety of lucrative initiatives, including Netflix productions, podcasts, books, and exclusive interviews, all while dipping their toes into commercial enterprises.
Markle regards these diverse projects positively, stating, “I believe every note I’m playing contributes to the same song,” referring to her eclectic portfolio.
Looking ahead, Markle has expressed interest in venturing into the fashion industry, hinting at potential opportunities down the line.
“Fashion is an area I plan to explore further in the future, as I find it quite intriguing,” she noted during the interview.

At 2 a.m., Archie excitedly entered her room to share the news about his lost tooth.
Markle reflected on that moment, saying, “I had significant business meetings the following day, but I chose to snuggle with him for the rest of the night.
Those little moments as a mom rejuvenate my commitment to being a better founder and leader.”
While engaged in a plethora of professional activities, Markle has clarified her self-perception, distancing herself from the labels of a social media influencer.
In previous interviews, she stated, “I identify as an entrepreneur and a female founder, and if my brand gains influence, that’s wonderful.
However, I wouldn’t classify myself as an influencer.”
