Dolly Parton Addresses Cheating Reports

Country music legend Dolly Parton has set the record straight about the wildest rumors she’s heard about herself over the course of her illustrious career.

In a recent interview with Saga Exceptional, the 77-year-old icon addressed the misconceptions surrounding her personal life, particularly the unfounded allegations of extramarital affairs with her famous male co-stars.

“I’ve heard so many crazy rumors about me through the years,” Parton revealed.

“The worst stories were ones that my back was broke because my boobs were so heavy! And they’ve had me having an affair with everybody I’ve ever worked with.”

Despite the rumors, Parton has been happily married to her longtime love, Carl Dean, since 1966. Dean is notoriously private and rarely seen in public.

Reports had previously surfaced claiming that Parton had bedded both Sylvester Stallone, with whom she appeared in the 1984 film “Rhinestone,” and Burt Reynolds, her co-star in 1982’s “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.”

However, Parton vehemently refuted these rumors in the interview.

Parton also discussed her and her husband’s decision not to have children, expressing no regrets about their choice.

“I haven’t missed [having kids] like I thought I might,” she confessed.

“When you’re a young couple, you think you’re going to have kids, but it just wasn’t one of those burning things for me.”

She went on to explain that her career, music, and traveling took precedence, and if she had children, she would have stayed home with them and “worried myself to death about them.”

The Grammy winner also touched on the current state of the world, admitting, “With everything that’s going on, I’d hate to be bringing a child into this world right now.”

Parton’s music career began in the 1960s, initially as a songwriter for other artists before venturing into her own albums.

Despite her extensive tenure in the industry, the Tennessee native has no intentions of retiring anytime soon.

In a July appearance on the Greatest Hits Radio show, Parton joked that she would rather “drop dead in the middle of a song onstage” than take a step back from singing.

“That’s how I hope to go. Of course, we don’t have much of a choice in that,” she quipped.

“As long as I’m able to work, as long as my health is good and my husband is good.

“I mean, the only way that I would ever slow down or stop would be for that reason. But in the meantime, I’m gonna make hay while the sun shines.”

Parton’s commitment to her craft is evident in her recent crossover rock album, “Rockstar,” which topped both Billboard’s top country and top rock and alternative albums charts.

The album, her 49th studio release, is a cross-genre crowd-pleaser featuring original music and covers of rock classics.

“Rockstar” debuted at No. 3 on the all-genre Billboard 200, marking Parton’s highest career rank on the chart and her third top-ten entry.

The idea for the 30-track rock album was born after Parton was nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2022.

Initially, she tried to decline the honor, feeling she wasn’t “rock enough,” but eventually acquiesced, entering the ceremony in a leather body-con outfit dripping in chains.

Onstage, she declared her intention to record “Rockstar,” which includes features from rock artists such as Sting, John Fogerty, Stevie Nicks, Joan Jett, Elton John, Melissa Etheridge, Debbie Harry, Paul McCartney, and Ringo Starr.
